Meet the new Chair of the European World Regional Board & Member of the Global Members Committee

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Stefan De Goeij MRICS as Chair of the European World Regional Board (EWRB) and as a Member of the Global Members Committee (GMC).

Commenting on his appointment, Stefan said: 

“I am deeply honoured to be appointed as Chair of the RICS European World Regional Board and to also serve as a Member of the Global Members Committee. Taking on these roles in the current environment is both challenging and exciting, and I look forward to working closely with colleagues to support the evolving agenda and represent RICS members across Europe.”

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Susanne Eickermann-Riepe FRICS, who stepped down as Chair of the European World Regional Board in January to take up the role of RICS Senior Vice President, and to Joël Scherrenberg MRICS, who has served as Acting Chair since January 2026, for their commitment and leadership during this period of transition.

The appointment process was led by Douglas McCormick FRICS, Chair of the Global Members Committee, alongside Marzia Morena MRICS and Sarah New, Independent Recruitment Panellist. We are grateful to the panel for their time and contribution throughout the process.
