Overview

Construction has traditionally been a labour-intensive industry, relying heavily on manpower, coordination, and site-based experience, which makes the effective use of digital tools both challenging and increasingly necessary. This talk is organised to explore how data technology can be applied in the construction industry, including its role in improving planning, monitoring, collaboration, and operational efficiency, while helping the industry respond to growing pressure for better performance and smarter ways of working. It will also consider cybersecurity as an important issue, particularly as greater reliance on digital systems and data sharing creates new risks that must be managed carefully.
