Overview
The idea is to introduce a high-level framework called OpenCLAW, covering Open models, Closed frontier models, Local/private AI, Agentic assistants and Workflow integration. In Hong Kong, OpenCLAW can also be remembered as “龍蝦”.
The session will relate this to surveying, construction and real estate practice, including document review, project communication, due diligence, procurement, reporting and governed AI workflows.
The focus will be on how surveyors can use AI productively while managing confidentiality, professional judgement, compliance and human sign-off.

Founder, OpenDeedigital Limited
Johnny K.C. Ma is an AI founder and construction technology strategist focused on building governed AI systems for the construction and real estate industry. His work connects construction workflow knowledge, enterprise AI governance, AI agents, document intelligence, and Web3-enabled procurement infrastructure. From early exposure to a mega civil project in Hong Kong, he developed a strong interest in how fragmented construction documents and domain knowledge can be transformed into structured digital systems - later formalised through his MSc in Digital Management of Built Assets at HKU, with focus across BIM, digital transformation, blockchain adoption, tokenisation, and construction technology strategy.
