Australasia Contractual framework for two stage ECI in NZ commercial construction webinar

Overview

This webinar explores Two-Stage Early Contractor Involvement (2S-ECI) - a procurement approach in which a main contractor is engaged early in the design process to collaborate with the client and consultant team. By involving the contractor before or during design development, 2S-ECI aims to improve project planning, enhance buildability, and reduce the adversarial dynamics often associated with traditional design-bid-build procurement.

Participants will gain an understanding of how 2S-ECI works in practice, why it is being adopted across the industry, and how it compares with traditional tendering methods. The session will specifically examine the pricing mechanisms used in 2S-ECI and evaluate their levels of transparency, risk allocation, and economic sustainability.
