Jason Weller is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with 24 years’ experience in the engineering and construction industries. He advises extensively on the preparation and defence of extension of time and cost claims related to construction and civil engineering projects. Jason has prepared neutral evaluations under joint appointments for parties involved in disputes exceeding USD 200 million. Jason has also been appointed as quantum Expert in an ICC arbitration and has assisted the appointed quantum Expert on four other complex international arbitrations.

Conrad is Chartered Surveyor and RICS Accredited Expert Witness with over 25 years’ experience in construction and engineering internationally. Conrad specialises in matters of quantity surveying practice including the valuation of damages, costs of delay, disruption, variations, and costs arising from termination. He is now the managing director at Global Appraisal Tech (GAT), one of Egypt’s top asset valuation firms, leading teams in real estate, machinery and equipment valuation, project management, and feasibility studies. Under Dr. Tarek Madany's direction, GAT has appraised various projects, from development and commercial assets to operating hotels and hospitals. His team's collaborations with top valuation and financial auditors, including KPMG, Deloitte, PWC, E&Y, and more, further demonstrate their comprehensive expertise. Tarek Madany is a Board member at the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) Membership and Standards Recognition Board (MSRB), RICS Egypt Advisory Board member, and sat on the RICS Middle East and Africa Regional Board. Dr Madany is also a counselor and assessor in the RICS APC, and an RICS academy trainer and an Adjunct Professor at the American University in Cairo (AUC), which provides training courses in Valuation, Inspection, Building Pathology, Strategic Real Estate Management and related matters.

Simon Townsend BSc(Hons) FRICS

CEO, Avison Young MENA

Simon has been in the UAE for more than 26 years and has been involved in real estate valuation, advisory and transactions across all the major geographies within MENAT. He has undertaken more than US$2bn of real estate transactions globally for local capital and continues to be involved on investment boards and oversight committees for several private investment companies, family offices and regulated funds. Simon is a Fellow of RICS having been a chartered surveyor for more than 28 years - during this time he has held senior positions with CBRE and sat on European and Asian advisory or regulatory boards - he is currently the CEO of Avison Young MENA.

Benjamin Cullum MRICS

Head of Valuation & Underwriting Middle East, Newmark

Benjamin Cullum currently serves as the Senior Director in Newmark’s Middle East Valuation & Advisory practice, leading the Valuations team for the region. With in excess of 20 years in the real estate profession, Ben has substantial expertise across markets in the Middle East and the wider region. He has led multi-disciplinary teams providing Real Estate Valuation, Development Advisory, Asset Management and Strategic Consultancy services. His experience includes valuation and development consultancy assignments covering key real estate sectors from single operational assets to substantial master planned communities. In doing so, Ben has serviced a wide range of clients including government entities, sovereign wealth funds, corporate developers, family offices and banking institutions across the Middle East. A London-trained Chartered Surveyor, Ben has been a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since 2005 and has been appointed to various committees and national boards of the RICS, most recently sitting on the Oman Board between 2018 and 2021 as a valuation expert.
