This webinar provides a practical introduction to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in construction and procurement projects worldwide, including the UK and the Middle East. UK-based construction dispute resolution practitioners will cover the fundamentals of adjudication and other ADR mechanisms, including mediation, conciliation, adjudication, and arbitration.
The session will focus on how and when these processes are used. The seminar will also examine the most common causes of disputes in the UK and ME and the steps that can be taken to mitigate them, using case scenarios. The seminar would further address the influence of UK common law principles on construction in MEA and KSA.
