Face-to-face events are designed to support candidates at every stage of the assessment process, making them a valuable resource regardless of where you are in your journey.
Whether you are just getting started, preparing your submission, awaiting results, or getting ready for interview, these sessions provide an opportunity to engage directly with experts and peers. Early on, they help you understand requirements, expectations, and how to approach your application. As you progress, they offer more tailored guidance, allowing you to refine your submission, ask specific questions, and gain practical insights.
For those who have already submitted, face-to-face events are equally beneficial for addressing post-submission queries, understanding feedback, and preparing for the next steps, including interview. They also create space for discussion, networking, and shared learning, which can be particularly helpful at any stage of the process.

RICS Matrics is our early career community designed to support students, apprentices, trainees and those who are newly qualified (up to 10 years), as they move into the industry. It gives the community a platform to influence the profession, as well as an opportunity to network and gain support as they go through the assessment. They deliver a wide range of face-to-face events across their regions. You can find more information here - RICS Matrics UK.
Some networking events are organised by RICS Matrics, where members of Matrics themselves host events for candidates and newly qualified members. While these events use the RICS name to support early career engagement, they are delivered independently by Matrics volunteers rather than directly managed by RICS. Please note that some events may incur a fee; any applicable charges will be clearly displayed in advance.
You can stay up to date with their full programme of events, including a range of social and networking opportunities, via their LinkedIn pages, which are linked within their dedicated regional section.
