York Minster, York

184 solar panels on the roof of York Minster were installed on the south Quire roof between October and December 2024. The panels are now generating >70,000 kWh of energy, enough to deliver a third of the Minster’s electricity requirements.
The solar panel installation is one of many projects underway across the Minster as part of its Neighbourhood Plan. The plan, which has recently attracted international awards for innovation, is designed to address the challenges of the 21st century, principally responding to the climate emergency and the impacts of climate change on the fragile gothic masterpiece and its estate.

Daphne Steele Building, University of Huddersfield's National Health Innovation Campus

The Daphne Steele building is the first project to be delivered for the National Health Innovation Campus situated at the University of Huddersfield. Delivering high class clinical and academic spaces accommodating state-of-the art facilities.
The building introduces health, medical technologies and associated services providing a key focus for economic development, boosting regeneration and introducing local jobs.
The building will be accessible to Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as part of a partnership to explore innovation in health, wellbeing and technology leading to 60% growth over the next 5 years in fields such as nursing, midwifery, and allied health.
The Cocoa Works, Clifton, York

The Cocoa Works is a major £56m residential development in York, which has seen the iconic Rowntree Factory sensitively transformed into 279 high-quality apartments, alongside the construction of a new Pavilion and refurbishment of the Grade II Listed Joseph Rowntree Memorial Library.
Built in the early 1890s by Joseph Rowntree, the historic complex is now home to characterful, luxury apartments over six floors, where the original features of the building are both incorporated and celebrated.
All of the homes come with communal landscaped gardens and social spaces, historic design features, and contemporary living.
Lowfield Green, York

Lowfield Green in York is a flagship housing scheme comprising social, affordable, and private housing, alongside an 80-bed care home and a mixed-use health facility. The primary focus of the masterplan is the village green, a generous open space with play facilities, community growing spaces, and high-quality natural planting.
The project, which includes 140 dwellings, has become York's largest council housing development in more than 30 years.
