Mr. Hawkins is a quantity surveyor and chartered construction manager with more than 17 years of industry experience obtained from working across a variety of sectors on construction & engineering projects in Canada, UK, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia. Mr Hawkins is recognised by Lexology in 2025 [link] as one of the leading Construction Expert Future Leaders likely to be a pre-eminent name of the next generation. He is described as having “excellent technical knowledge of quantity surveying and construction”. He specializes in quantum and damages claims, with experience on matters with claim amounts up to $2 billion CAD. His experience encompasses valuations, estimating, large scale data analysis, measurement, delay/prolongation/loss & expense, thickening, disruption, loss of productivity, variations, remedial or defective works and terminations on complex construction projects. Mr. Hawkins advises law firms, government bodies, developers, owners, general contractors & subcontractors. He has worked on projects across a broad spectrum of sectors; including aviation, commercial real estate, education, energy, healthcare, infrastructure, residential, rail and water. The appointments span across litigation proceedings and international & domestic arbitration, adjudication, mediation. He has assisted counsel and clients in settlement and negotiations. He is the Chair of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Young Members Group initiative for Canada.

Stephen Morrison graduated with honours from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1976 and was called to the Ontario bar in 1978. Following a career in criminal law, in 1982, Stephen co-founded The Rose Corporation, a land development and investment company where he served as president and in-house legal counsel until 1999. Until the end of 2014, Stephen was a partner in a leading Canadian law firm and was regularly engaged in the resolution of commercial disputes, including matters arising from development and construction projects, financing failures, delay and impact claims, contract tendering issues, environmental problems, insurance coverage disputes, and breach of trust claims. Now, through Stephen Richard Morrison ADR Inc., he brings his over 40 years of legal and business experience to the resolution of complex commercial disputes, including many construction and development disputes, as a neutral mediator and arbitrator. As a mediator, he understands that the parties prefer workable solutions to protracted litigation and brings creativity and persistence to the resolution of difficult conflicts. As an arbitrator, he understands that the parties are entrusting to him the fair, equitable and legally correct resolution of the dispute that they have been unable to settle themselves. He is also committed to ensuring that, regardless of the outcome, all parties feel confident that they have been heard and understood. Stephen has been recognized by the ADR Institute of Canada with the designations Chartered Mediator and Chartered Arbitrator, and he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is a founding member of the Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society and served for many years on its Executive Committee.

Kaleigh Du Vernet is a Partner in the Construction and Infrastructure Practice Group at Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP in Toronto, Ontario. Kaleigh advises clients at all levels of the construction supply chain, through all stages of the construction process. She regularly acts as lead counsel in complex litigation, arbitration, adjudication, and regulatory proceedings, and has appeared before various Ontario courts and tribunals on motions and trials. A devoted practitioner in all things Construction Act, Kaleigh is particularly experienced in construction lien proceedings and navigating the industry dynamics of prompt payment and adjudication. She has conducted lien proceedings across the province and has acted a counsel for both claimants and respondents in over 30 Construction Act adjudications of varying scope and complexity, including high-value claims involving technical disputes, changes, and deficiencies. Kaleigh enjoys continued industry involvement and is an Adjunct Professor at the Angelo DelZotto School of Construction Management at George Brown College, where she has been teaching construction law courses since 2019.

David is a Senior Commercial Manager with Bird Construction in Ontario, bringing over 20 years of experience delivering complex social infrastructure projects from the general contractor’s perspective. His career has included working as a QS/Commercial Manager in both the UK and Canada, for general contractors such as Carillion Construction and for the past eight years with Bird. He brings a wealth of experience in commercial management on construction projects, and various contract types, in the healthcare, institutional, education, commercial, and retail sectors. David is also an active member with the RICS acting as a counsellor and assessment chairperson.

Paul is an independent commercial and project management consultant specializing in large infrastructure projects procured primarily utilizing PPP and collaborative approaches; Paul has worked for large international Contractors; publicly listed consultants and client organizations in executive roles; he has also represented his organization on Project Boards and SPV Boards; He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with a Masters in Management and a post Grad Diploma in Law in Arbitration and is a Quantity Surveyor by training.
