Site Tour to International Gateway Centre (IGC)

Overview

Co‑hosted with the HKIE Young Members Committee, this technical visit to the International Gateway Centre (IGC), constructed above the West Kowloon High Speed Rail Terminus, offers insights into world‑class connectivity, sustainable design, and innovative engineering. Participants will explore public space integration, iconic architecture, and construction excellence shaping Hong Kong’s urban gateway.

• 10:00-10:15 - Project background
  • Provide a comprehensive overview of the project’s background, scope, and key particulars
  • Highlight the distinctive design features and unique qualities of the IGC
• 10:15-11:45 - Site Walk
  • Tour of IGC including office areas, retail levels, landscaped greenery, and open public spaces, as well as its site connections
  • Examine the design considerations and explore the construction and technical challenges encountered, together with the innovative solutions that ensured successful project delivery
• 11:45-12:00 - Q&A Session
