Overview

The RICS Whole Life Carbon Assessment 2nd Edition was developed to measure and manage carbon emissions throughout the entire lifecycle of a built asset, to include emissions from the production of construction materials, the operational phase, and the end-of-life stage.

RICS members are required to adhere to the standard for all relevant project phases and types. The standard came into full effect on 1 July 2024.

This webinar will cover the initial stages of the WLCA standard. These stages look to provide a structured perspective to capturing the full carbon impact of a building from cradle to grave. We will discuss several actions you can take to address and improve outcomes if your results are not as expected. The webinar will further look at the challenges you may face when working with WLCA 2nd Edition, and address these with real life case studies.
