This pre-recorded session will examine a case study arising from the compulsory acquisition of native title rights and interests in NSW, Australia. It will explore what cultural loss means and its different forms, a deep dive into the context of case law and the Valuer General’s policy development, which underpins the approach undertaken by Value NSW, as well as the challenges of cultural loss assessment for matters relating to compulsory acquisition.
