From a simple bus stop in a small community to mega developments in big cities, infrastructure has a transformative effect on the people that use it. This couldn’t be more evident in the densely populated cities across India, where population profiles include the very wealthy, as well as the very poor, and all of whom would hugely benefit from access to new developments, such as rapid transit.
Government investment in highways has climbed to around £5 billion per year over the next four years. We spoke to Commercial Director at Highways England Mark Ollerton to discuss the skills challenge his organisation faces.
