Overview

Ebbsfleet is one of the most exciting opportunities for urban regeneration the United Kingdom has had in decades. In November 2015 George Osborne announced that over £300m would be put into the development in North Kent, which once completed could be home to over 65,000 people. The Ebbsfleet Development Corporation (EDC) was set up by the government to create a 21st Century Garden City, together with local authorities and the community they are developing and delivering a shared vision for the site.

Our third annual visit will be hosted by Simon Harrison, Head of Design at the EDC, with an introduction from Ian Piper, EDC CEO. The visit will take you around various sites including Ebbsfleet International Station, Castle Hill, as well as areas not open to the public. This is a great opportunity to get all the latest on the development and to see first-hand how the garden city is progressing.

Transport around the site is included. We will begin the tour promptly at 12:45 at Ebbsfleet International Station at the Visitor Information Centre inside the station. We will return at approx.15:00 (due to traffic and unforeseen circumstances this event can overrun). Public parking is available at the station for a fee, find out more here.

Please ensure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear for this event, as there will be some walking, possibly on uneven/rough surfaces and getting on and off the minibus.

Spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment

Upon registering for this event you hereby agree to hold RICS harmless and make no claim, demand or bring any action against RICS, either alone or jointly with others, for any personal injury or other loss or damage. Given that RICS is a coordinator of the event and not otherwise involved in running the activity you agree that this exclusion of liability is fair and reasonable. It is important to note that this will not be of use if we are accused of negligence e.g., if an event should have 10 people and 20 attend.
