The Chartered Environmentalist qualification makes an invaluable addition to your status of chartered surveyor as it is an independently regulated qualification that cuts across all professional disciplines.
The Society for the Environment (SocEnv) regulates the profession of environmental practice through the Chartered Environmentalist qualification and seeks to influence government, policy makers and opinion formers on all aspects of the environment.
SocEnv is an independent organisation, comprising professional bodies and societies, sharing a common vision of a sustainable environment achieved through best practice environmental action.

To be relevant, practical experience must be environmental in nature. Ordinarily, applicants should have at least the equivalent of four years' full-time relevant work-based practice.
