SKA rating assessor accreditation

Since the launch of SKA rating in November 2009 over 200 assessors have joined the two schemes (Offices and Retail) and it is rapidly becoming accepted as the leading sustainability assessment method for non-domestic fit-out and refurbishment projects.

An annual accreditation exists for SKA rating assessors to support all active assessors to maintain their level of knowledge about SKA rating, keeping abreast of changes to the system and best practices.

The annual accreditation adds value to assessors by reinforcing professional standards and raising client confidence in the quality and consistency of assessor services offered in the marketplace. This is achieved through the established register of accredited assessors, access to technical support, updated training, and a system of quality assurance monitoring.

In addition to professional recognition for you and reassurance for your clients, the accreditation will provide you with:

  • visibility of your details to clients on the SKA rating register of accredited assessors
  • exclusive access to the SKA rating assessor virtual online community
  • exclusive licence to certify fit-outs via the online tool

An annual subscription is due to maintain your licence to practise as a SKA rating accredited assessor. The annual subscription runs annually from January to December and the fees are:

  • RICS professionals: £100 +VAT
  • Non-RICS professionals: £175 +VAT
