RICS in South Asia

RICS' South Asia region comprises the countries of India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Nepal and formally came into effect from 1 September 2011.

The region is led by Nimish Gupta FRICS who has been appointed as the new Managing Director – South Asia, with effect from 1 August 2018. Nimish has been closely associated with RICS since 2005 and was an integral part in the formation of the vision, planning and implementation of RICS South Asia. He will be leading the region and building on RICS’ current footprint in promoting the adoption of RICS’ professional standards.

In a short span of time, RICS South Asia team has made a significant headway in establishing the need of professional qualification and adoption of RICS standards in the region. India being a priority market for RICS in its vision of being a global professional body fit for the 21st century, we are committed to expanding the footprint of RICS qualified professionals in India and embedding our standards via government policies, employers and end users.

Currently, in India, RICS has offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
