The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction and infrastructure. They recognise outstanding achievement, teamwork and companies at our biggest networking event of the year.
On Thursday 23 July, the RICS Awards New Zealand will bring together hundreds of industry leaders to showcase and celebrate the achievements of RICS professionals who are advancing innovations to create better places and spaces and who are building resilient and successful communities.
We invite individuals, teams and firms to promote their achievements, professionalism and ethics to the world stage and showcase the best of the built environment across New Zealand.
All shortlisted nominations will be promoted across the APAC region and winners will be showcased in RICS publications as recognised leaders in their field.
Nominations are now open. The deadline for submissions is Friday March 2020 (17:00 NZST).

Nominations close COB Friday 20 March 2020. Nominations should be submitted online here and must be received by RICS by the deadline.
Shortlisted candidates will be announced in June 2020.
The winners will be revealed during the RICS Awards New Zealand Dinner at the Pullman Auckland on Thursday 23 July 2020.
Please note: Nominees are required to be present at the dinner to receive their award. Tickets for the RICS Awards Dinner will go on sale in February 2020.
The Agency Team of the Year award acknowledges companies, teams and consortia acquiring, selling, managing or leasing properties in Office, Retail, Industrial or Residential project marketing during 2019.
Focusing on excellence in the consulting and building surveying industry, RICS' Building Consultancy Team of the Year award recognises companies, teams or consortia who have undertaken a significant project(s) during 2019.
Celebrating the success of tenant advisors/ representatives, this award recognises companies, teams or consortia engaged in outstanding advisory/representation services for occupier transactions during 2019.
Awarded to a company, team or consortia responsible for outstanding facilities management, the award recognises the provision of services to end-users.
Future proofing the profession is a key challenge in a time of rapid changes. The Innovation Award recognises teams, companies and consortia engaged in developing innovative solutions, to sustain the profession for the future.
Acknowledging companies, teams, in-house teams, the service provider or contractors who were engaged in project management of a construction project during 2019. The successful applicant will demonstrate quality control, time management and budget control.
The Property Fund Management Team of the Year Award recognises a property trust or property syndicate who can illustrate their outstanding industry performance for a specific project through attributes such as innovation, financial performance property finance and public accountability.
Awarded to a company, team of consortia responsible for outstanding tenant relationship management, financial management and asset management throughout 2019.
Celebrating the success of quantity surveyors, this award recognises companies, teams or consortia engaged in outstanding quantity surveying projects during 2019. This includes but is not limited to cost planning and commercial management.
This award demonstrates how innovation, design or construction techniques have been utilised by a team to solve environmental challenges and improve their sustainability.
The Valuation Team of the Year recognises a company, team or consortia involved in valuation services which uphold international standards and give confidence to end-users for their objectivity, independence and reliability on both commercial and/or residential projects.
Presented to an outstanding individual for excellence in quantity surveying, project management, land surveying, building surveying or building control. The Construction Professional of the Year award recognises achievement in construction projects during 2019. The successful candidate will demonstrate how their work has combined the highest professional, ethical and industry standards to deliver superior results and outcomes for clients and stakeholders.
The Property Professional of the Year award is presented to an outstanding individual involved in valuation, property management, facilities management, valuation or acquiring/selling or leasing a commercial, industrial or retail property. The selected professional will represent the highest professional ethics, demonstrate their use of standards in their day to day activities and embody the excellence expected of the recipient of such a prestigious award.
The woman of the built environment award recognises the outstanding contributions and achievements of senior women to our industry. The award celebrates inspirational role models to inspire the next generation of diverse professionals. Women from all disciplines of the industry are encouraged to enter.
The future of our profession rests on the shoulders of emerging professionals. The Young Achiever of the Year Award acknowledges one outstanding individual who, having embarked upon the journey to professionalism through RICS, has achieved excellence in their field. The individual selected will embody the highest standards of professionalism, be a role-model for their peers and be capable of making an outstanding contribution to the profession in the course of their future career.
