RICS Matrics AGM 2018

On 29 June 2018, RICS Matrics held their annual AGM.

The RICS Matrics UK Board and local group chairmen from across the UK gathered for a full afternoon induction session, which covered priorities for 2018-19, the value of RICS Matrics and the importance of sharing best practice, as well as coming together to witness the inauguration of this year's chairman, Anna Keys.

Saying goodbye

David Keddie of Gardiner and Theobald stepped down as chairman with a revisit on his achievements, in particular his Chairman's Challenge. From the 12-19 May 2018, David cycled from John O'Groats to Lands End over a seven-day period during mental health awareness week. David showed tremendous stamina and strengh throughout, and with his own fundraising and the help of local group fundraising, exceeded his £5,000 target, raising over £7,000 for the mental health chaity, MIND.

Anna Keys, chairman 2018-19

As the RICS Matrics gong and gavel were handed over, Anna Keys, quantity surveyor at Calfordseaden, became the next RICS Matrics chairman. "After serving for five years on the RICS Matrics UK Board and prior to that, being chairman of RICS Matrics Kent. It gives me great pleasure and is an honour to be chair in the year RICS Matrics celebrates its 130th anniversary," she said.

It's A Knockout

After the formal proceedings came to a close, our RICS Matrics representatives participated in the inflatable, obstacle course: It's A Knockout, which was a great success, raising £415 for LandAid.
