Surveyor running Leeds-Liverpool canal to help the homeless

Alex Holliday, Associate Building Surveyor, Bowman Riley is taking on the tough challenge of running 127 miles from Liverpool to Leeds along the canal side in support of RICS' Pledge150 campaign, and children’s charity, SELFA.

The #127in3 Challenge

Alex plans to run 127 miles over the course of three days starting in Liverpool on Monday 23 April and finishing in Leeds on Wednesday 25 April.

  • Day 1 – Liverpool to Chorley (c48 miles)
  • Day 2 – Chorley to Gargrave (c45 miles)
  • Day 3 – Gargrave to Leeds (c34 miles)

Fundraising target

Alex wants to raise at minimum of £2,000 for both RICS’s Pledge150 initiative in partnership with LandAid – which aims to deliver a minimum of 150 bedspaces for young homeless people – and SELFA (Skipton Extended Learning For All). All donations will be split equally between the two causes.
