This event is to understand the role of an Expert Witness in Arbitration Proceedings, and your responsibilities to your Client, the Arbitration Panel (if your appointment is from one of the Parties), and the RICS. Quantum Expert is mentioned as most appointments as an Expert Witness for RICS members are for some form of Quantum.

The event will discuss the process of appointment, understanding the brief of the proposed appointment including whether you should accept, through to appearing before the Tribunal Panel as a Witness. It will also discuss some of the pitfalls that may be encountered and following the RICS rules for Expert Witness Appointment.

  • The Duty of an Expert Witness.

Meet the speaker

Ian Bisgrove has 36 years of experience in all aspects of Quantity Surveying, Contract Management, Claims, Dispute Resolution, and appearing as an Expert Witness in front of International Arbitration Tribunals. He has worked in Qatar, UAE, Philippines, Holland and started his career in the UK. He has been the General Manger of D G Jones & Partners in Qatar since September 2005, and a Board Member since 2010.
