The North West Cambridge Development has created sustainable and long-lasting new urban extension to Cambridge, known as Eddington, which centred around a mixed academic and urban community. The first phase opened in 2017 with 700 affordable homes and community facilities for the University of Cambridge’s key-workers. The development seeks to secure the university’s long-term future and contribute to the city’s growth with a community growing to 8,500 people. The tour will include the community facilities at the heart of the development (including the Stirling Prize shortlisted Storey’s Field Centre), affordable key worker housing, and major new areas of public realm.
The tour will finish with tea, coffee and cakes at the Storey’s Fields Centre.
