Mark Snow

Managing Director – Chief Appraiser, Citigroup, Inc 

Mark is responsible for all oversight and governance of real estate related valuation functions across Citi's global operations, covering all lines of business and all corporate affiliates including, Citibank, NA, CitiHoldings, Inc. CitiBanamex, Bank Handlowy and Citicorp, Inc.

Beginning in 2011 Mark oversaw a massive global consolidation of Citi's appraisal functions by realigning responsibilities and establishing a global network of valuation professionals and delegates. The result has been a consistent global approach embedded into the local practice, but continuing to leverage local expertise covering the market and operating environment. He has overseen the development of country level appraisal standards for Citi's operations in countries such as Hong Kong, Korea, UK, Poland, Mexico, Czech Republic, Hungary, Brazil, Singapore, Australia, Japan, India, People's Republic of China, UAE, Russia, Turkey and others.

Mark joined Citibank from CBRE (formerly Coldwell Banker Commercial) in January 1991. He managed the appraisal function for Citi's US commercial bank and community development lending from 1995 to 2011. In 2011 he was named Citigroup's Chief Appraiser and was appointed Managing Director in 2012.

Most of his 35 years of commercial real estate experience has been involved in valuation, although he also has experience managing remedial and foreclosed commercial real estate loans at another lending institution.

Mark holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a Certified General Appraiser in Arizona. He received MBA and Bachelor degrees from the University of New Mexico and also completed undergraduate work at the University of Kanas. He is one of a handful of NCAA Division I athletes to compete as a graduate student while earning his MBA.

Mark has previously served on the Board of Directors of Citibank (Arizona) and the Foundation for Blind Children in Arizona.
